Cross-referencing and copying verses

Any way of adding our own cross-references to a highlighted or underlined phrase that will pop-up on hover?
Also, when selecting which verses to copy, in the bible view there is the option to "copy from [ref] through verse..." - this would be a useful feature in the verse list view. It could be modified further, especially for the verse list view, by having the option to "copy from verse ... to verse ..." so that the context can be copied without having to move away from the main text in the Bible view. (Apologies for repeating this from my previous thread - should have had it under a new thread to begin with.)

I made a commentary out of the questions that Jesus asked so that a Bible margin link shows on verses where Jesus is asking a key question. I also added my own comments to each question in the commentary.

Apps for Hebrew/Greek numbers

Do you know of anyone who could make a simple mobile device App with which the Hebrew or Greek letter/word values could be calculated?

Append verse from link

I know that you can append selected text to the clipboard, but it would be incredibly useful if you could append verse from their links. When preparing a sermon, I love using TSK and NAVES but I don't want to use all the referenced verses every time. Previewing the verses as you can do now combined with a "Append referenced verse(s)" option would be a very powerful and useful tool.
I have other bible study programs, but SwordSearcher is by far my no.1 choice every time!! Keep up the good work.

module location

I'd like to be able to specify the location(s) of the SwordSearcher User Modules.

This would allow me to take advantage of the "cloud" storage that's becoming available like SkyDrive or Google Drive. The modules would still be on the hard drive but would be backed up to the cloud and be available to other PCs/devices.

John Trapp Commentary

Hello,

I could not find this commentary for SwordSearcher anywhere. If anyone knows where it is, please let me know.

In the meantime I am working on putting it into SwordSearcher. I got it from http://www.grace-ebooks.com/Home.html

I tried to use Forge to bring it in but the Hebrew and Greek words would not do right for me. So, I am copying and pasting them verse by verse into SwordSearcher and it is looking good IMO. The best way I have found is to bring the Kindle eBook into Calibre and copying from Calibre into MS Word and from MS Word directly into SwordSearcher.

Since Forge removes all formatting when using it and uses HTML tags and I could not figure what tag to use for Hebrew and Greek words, it just does not do the work for me. I used a little program that came with Theophilos to tag the bold and italic words but the Greek and Hebrew tags that Scribe provided did not work for me.

Anyone have any suggestions for me in formatting the Greek and Hebrew words for Forge?

Compare Three Versions

Would it be possible in the future to compare the versions of the Bible at once instead of just two? Often I have the KJV, WEB, and Spanish Bible that I am comparing as I am reading. To me this would be a very helpful improvement.

Editing a note

It would be intuitive and useful (to me) when editing and saving a note on a Bible verse that the the commentary window would show the result of editing rather than the current commentary for the current verse.

This happens when I am listening to the Bible and decide to make a note on the verse being read which is generally not the "current" SS verse.

What I currently do is click the SS widget to make the verse current and then change commentaries if necessary to see the result.

I know we have had a discussion before about updating the current verse but maybe use of the audio feature would be an exception.

Search for highlighting color, etc.

I posted this in the "Future" section, since I don't think this feature is already available in SS. However, it may well be � I am often pleasantly surprised by what you've already included.

I would really like the ability to search the Bible for a certain color of highlighting. If I've consistently highlighted thematically, I would find a search for all those colors (and / or underlining) very useful.

Also, relatedly, I would find it very useful if the user could assign labels to the highlighting colors, e.g. red = atonement/sacrifice, green = eternal life, dark brown = sin, etc. Without color labeling, I need a genuine paper reminder taped up on my desk reminding me which color means what. :)

And another thing: I often wish I could highlight books and commentaries. Though, I admit that if I were to highlight them and also had the ability to assign labels to highlighting colors, I'd rather there were separate labeling conventions for the Bible highlighting and the book/commentary highlighting. For books, I'd basically like the ability to assign colors that correspond to such labels as "Good (and I agree)", "Questionable", and "I disagree". You can see how that would help with reviewing a book. After you've read and highlighted everything you noticed, you could search for those colors, and you've basically got a summary of possible items to include in your review of the book.
