    AI (not the city)

Hearty agreement. I wanted to see if it could produce a useful result. The summary wasn't as useful as discovering the right search criteria. However, maybe asking for a summary was the wrong query.

    AI (not the city)

Not exactly. I was curious to see how it would summarize the 54 verses resulting from the search criteria above. It's just another tool.

Here's an example from Handfuls, part of the SS library:

Book chapters and how to get them in order.

Number the chapters like 0001 Gen 1, 0002 Gen 2, ... 1189 Rev 22. Put the number 1st then the title. Use as many digit as needed. You could also use a decimal system 1.1 title, 1.2 etc.

    Book Modules

It looks good. I notice that topics 10-21 might benefit with a return link to the table of contents at the top of the page.

    Making an Audio Bible

Try doing a search for "create timing file for audio bible" on the web. You will find some solutions. Here is something to read. https://github.com/faithcomesbyhearing/verse-timing?tab=readme-ov-file#readme

    Making an Audio Bible

You would have to record 1189 chapter audio files and give them SS recognizable names like Ge 1.mp3 ... Rev 22.mp3 etc. Put them in a folder. In the SS File menu/Configure Audio Files/ you could link them. The timing would not be precise as it is with Scourby, but it would play them and move...

FR: fly-out Reading Schedule panel via Widget or similar

I agree that it's usually in the way and I move it around a lot. I wonder if it could be reconfigured to fit at the top to the right of the help menu. There is a lot of empty space there.

I got out of SS and back in and the problem has gone away.

    Settings

Is there a setting that controls the highlight in the topic selector drop down. I am getting a black background with black text in dark mode using default settings where I have modified the background slightly (RGB 37,37,37). It should say 01. Baptists and Their Doctrines by the red arrow.

    Verse Guide

Yes. They open in the reference panel instead. Is that expected behavior for hard coded references? The hyperlinking style setting for "multiple" also prevents the verse guide from responding on a ctrl-click. They do respond by ctrl clicking the verse in the reference panel. So that's ok.

    Verse Guide

Should this option work in the Commentary and Book panel on a verse reference? I thought it worked in the Commentary panel, but I see that it only works on the reference in the header.

    Chapter 0/Verse 0?

You could create a user book with summaries of each chapter as topics. Then put a link in the user commentary on verse 1 of each chapter to the book topic containing the outline. That would clean up the commentary. If you called the user book Chapter Summary, the entry could look nice and...

A Blended Reading Plan for 2024

Our church is reading the Blue Letter Bible blended reading plan for 2024. I made a SwordSearcher reading plan from it. See attached zip file. It includes the plan as well as a text listing.

Sword Searcher 7.1 and module assets folders

By coding the maps as an image file they will open in whatever a user has for the Windows default image application (i.e. a browser, MSpaint, etc.). When I click on them they open in my default browser, Firefox. To get back to SS I close the browser or click on the SS tab on the windows...

Sword Searcher 7.1 and module assets folders

Your module looks good. There are some links that do not work. I didn't check them all. I think the reason may be that you put some maps in the SS image directory in the program files folder. They probably work for you but not for anyone else. You should put all your images that you want...

Can I view all comments for a book?

You could export a user-editable commentary as an HTML document (not a Forge document). You could then view ALL the comments for All the books in a browser or in Word, LibreOffice, or OpenOffice.
