Abbott New Testament Commentary

    Re: Matt 12:31. Might this particular part of the commentary include a stray word? "The sin which I the Pharisees..." The word "I" seems out of place (actually not needed) unless I'm not understanding the explanation.

    Help please!

    It could be that the "I" that is there is actually an "l" marking a footnote. That happens frequently when documents are scanned to text. Or it could have been a mark on the page. In any case, it's most likely just a typo.

    Thanks Marty. I was leaning that way. Too bad the footnote reference isn't there, if it references a footnote.

    It's just an OCR error. Probably a bad line of ink on the page at the end of the line.
