text to speech would be awesome

Audio Bible support is coming. As for an actual text-to-speech system for other text in the library, I've tested it a few times and the text-to-speech functions in Windows seem so horrible as to be unusable. Is that what you're referring to?

I recently purchased Logos before I checked out your program. Logos is okay, but I love the way you have the relevant links beside the bible, and the highlighted links in the commentary and books and dictionaries. Your program is GREAT, simple to learn, more time to focus on study instead of learning the program. The one feature that I really like in Logos is that when you click on a particular book or bible, you have a feature similar to adobe reader 9 that allows you to "read aloud". The windows voices sound a bit robotic. It is better when you purchase "natural sounding voices", which I had already previously purchased. The voices vary in cost but I find it helpful in my studies for the text to be read to me as I read along or even better I can burn a mp3 of have my class notes and listen while i am driving to work. In case anyone may be interested in text to speech:

Initially I purchased this program in order to get 2 voices for free, with the program:

you can actually listen to longer voice samples at att website:

The natural voices cost around $40 each, but sometimes when you buy a text to speech program such as Textaloud or Natural Reader, they offer a deal where you can get 2 or 3 voices for cheap. I really like the Neospeech voices which you can get when you purchase NaturalReader.

If you click on the below link, it uses the voice of Paul, which sounds the most natural to me.

That is why I would like to have the "read aloud" option. If you have Adobe reader 9, just click on "view" and "read aloud". It will use the default voice you have in Windows, so it will probably sound robotic, but you can download free voices here:

click on "older voices"

Thanks,
Lee

Thanks for all the details. A "read aloud" option will be explored for a future feature addition.
