SwordSearcher is great software. The available resources are numerous!

Having the following would definitely put it over the top for me:

1)Webster?s Dictionary of Synonyms (older version)
2)Crabb?s English Synonymes (older version)

Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback.

Dennis,

I reckon if one of us looked hard enough we could find a thesaurus and convert it into Book Module. Just a real quick looksie found this thesaurus freeware download, when installed will put an icon in your start menu @ the right hand bottom. It will open on top of SS and from what I can see does not infringe on it.

It has a preference option for settings to fine tune with other dictionaries, stay on top, etc.

It's not Websters (which from what I see wants $), but it should do what you want it to. Unless it works off a Websters 1828..........I don't put stock into it anyway.

Just a couple thoughts on synonyms:

The Webster 1913 Unabridged Dictionary modules have 3277 out of 99000 entries with lists of synonyms. You can find those entries by using the f3 key and searching for syn. in the A-J module and do the same search in the K-Z. If you set your preferences so that 2clicking on a word brings up the topic and verse guide, look in the 1913 dictionary where there may be a list of synonyms for that word. I found a public domain Rogets Thesaurus on Gutenberg. It had 1000 words with lists of synonyms.

The modules are available at this location if you don't have them.

If a good text were available, I think It would be fairly easy to create a simple thesaurus using Forge by just making topic titles that were lists of synonyms. When you 2click on a word in a text somewhere, the topic and verse guide would show you an entry in the thesaurus with all the synonyms right in the title.

An example of a topic title might be:
Keeping: Syn. Care; guardianship; custody; possession.

I think a neat option for Bible searching would be to expand a word search to also look for KJV synonyms.

Wordweb is great and very useful. I'm not sure SS really needs a thesaurus or synonym dictionary myself.
