Formatting problem

After I did this chapter in the new module I am working on, I am noticing that it does not fill the full width of the book view. I have just now experimented with separating the paragraphs of a new module and then going into formatting it. It kept the paragraph separations and formatted the thing to the full width of the view. Now, with that done I think I am in process of getting such as the following into full width and into conditions so that I can go in and put italics on words and phrases, etc. and doing any further editing as I compare all that to the book or whatever I am working from. Do you think I am on the right track or is there a better or more thorough method(s) that I can use?

Chapter 5
The Triumph of the Cross

‘But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our
Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me
and I unto the world.’

As we have been studying this great verse, we have seen
that for the Christian, the cross is the most wonderful thing

Are you pasting in text from another source, like maybe copied in from a PDF file? If that source has hard line feeds, then that is what you are seeing.

An easy way to check is to put your cursor at the end of a short line of text and hit the delete key. If the following line moves up so it's a continuation of the first line, you have line breaks.

It does, so I guess I either have to do that line by line or have to format it like I have been doing. I have discovered that if I separate the paragraphs first, that it does the formatting in a more easily workable method. Does it sound like I am on the right path? Thanks.

I don't know what you've been doing, but I've fixed that issue a couple different ways:
1. Using the end key, space and delete, then down arrow, end, space, delete becomes an easy rhythm to keep, and will line things up;
2. Or, go into code mode and replace all the <br> code with a space.
