All of a sudden, my Highlighting.ss6hilite changed to Highlighting.ss6hilite.corrupt.

All my post highlights were gone/corrupted.

Is there any way to repair the corrupted Highlighting.ss6hilite?

Many thanks!
William

There's no way to fix the corrupt data file. Hopefully you are backing up your documents folder, in which case you will need to restore the file from your backup routine from before the file was damaged. If you have OneDrive syncing your documents folder it may have a previous version of the file you can use.

The only time I have ever seen this happen is on hardware that is starting to fail -- I would recommend running a system disk check to see if you have any problems with your storage.

Thank you, Brandon Staggs, for your advice. I was able to restore the file from OneDrive.

I have configured the Module File Locations to my D Drive, which is an external SSD that is highly encrypted and requires a password for login and logout each time I turn on my laptop, perhaps this caused the data file corruption.

Additionally, I will run a system disk check to identify any potential issues with my external SSD.

I am so happy that you recovered your file.
