Word Trees

Hi! New here. What is the purpose of the Word Tree feature? I can see what it does, but what I'm asking is why? How is this feature helpful for study? For what purpose would one use this? I apologize for my ignorance, I'm just trying to learn the software is all. Thanks and God bless!
