    KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SELECTIVE

Re: SwordSearcher, Online Bible, and e-Sword I think you will find that while OLB has improved in version 2, [2.02 to be exact] and is now issued as two discs, it is still far from reaching SwordSearcher perfection but it DOES have lots of bible modules in its favour.

    Pocket PC version?

Limited Markets I think we have to remember why PCs became so popular. They used to be called IBM? compatibles*, because clones would usually run the same software, based on the Intel? chip. Until pocket PC versions follow suit and adopt the same standards, software developers will not be...

    Brandon -- Do you object?

Pastor Tim, We are not really getting at you. It was a good thought to help out a fellow Christian and clearly Brandon thinks so too from his answers. If I think one of my fellow Christians can't afford something, I buy it for him ... but I am mighty mad when I later find him driving a...

    Brandon -- Do you object?

Plus the fact that Brandon offers disks at knock-down prices from time to time. Every purchase avoided means that we all pay a bit extra in the end.

God bless you for this great program

It's hard to believe just how much bible programs have developed over the last ten years. I remember then, marveling at finding scriptures so quickly and Cruden's concordance became obsolete overnight ..... but then again I never did like that old joke? Young's concordance for young...

    Brandon -- Do you object?

I read this original request as, "Is it alright to cheat somebody out of a fair purchase price ?" Brandon is unbelievably kind in this respect, but since he already offers a free trial, there should be no need to pass on old disks. Indeed, many upgrades require the original disk to install the...

    KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SELECTIVE

I have long suspected Microsoft of taking other people's work and publishing clones under their own brand but when you get big you can get away with bullying others. Luckily, religious software has no appeal to these people so I think SwordSearcher is safe.

    KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SELECTIVE

Thank you for the replies. You see Jerry, Brandon has already picked this up. Not all good innovations are original. Indeed, some of the copies are better, since people learn from the mistakes of others.

    KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SELECTIVE

Thanks for cheering me up Jerry. :D ....... but I do hate it when people hint at advantages without saying what they are. lol

    KEEP IT SIMPLE AND SELECTIVE

This is the best Bible Software available I concur with this too but my efforts to promote it have always fallen on deaf ears. It appears that Christians like free software and counter arguments in favour of it with counter arguments about the free eSword from e-sword.net which, whilst free...

    Pocket PC version?

Hi Doug, I suppose software developers have to live like everybody else. You could say my system is "bloated" since I have two versions of SwordSearcher? (ver. 3.4 and 4.7) on my machine. Luckily, Brandon programmed them to co-exist. Ver. 3.4 is noticeably quicker at both starting and at...
