Wow! How interesting! Thank you for the new quick-tip video! I'll try it out!

    Formatting problem

I don't know what you've been doing, but I've fixed that issue a couple different ways: 1. Using the end key, space and delete, then down arrow, end, space, delete becomes an easy rhythm to keep, and will line things up; 2. Or, go into code mode and replace all the <br> code with a space.

    Formatting problem

An easy way to check is to put your cursor at the end of a short line of text and hit the delete key. If the following line moves up so it's a continuation of the first line, you have line breaks.

    Blocked from editing

The files in the Program Files folder are not to be fooled with, but it sounds like you need to move this one to your other modules folder (sometimes I forget that people have their modules in other places than the documents/SwordSearcher user modules folder). There are some module files in the...

    Blocked from editing

How frustrating! Here are a couple things I would look at, although Brandon or Bill may have the quick and right answer (I usually just poke at things until something changes): Back up these module files in case something goes awry. Check the directory properties where the files are and make...

    Book to Commentary Question?

Commentaries are linked verse-by-verse so I think converting a book to a commentary would involve a LOT of work to create the links to individual verses. I don't think SwordSearcher is equipped to do that automatically. You might want to create a commentary so you understand the process. Many...

    Webster 1828 or Webster 1913

I like the 1828 dictionary because I think the old definitions are really interesting and I like to see how the language has changed.

What is your favorite commentary in Sword Searcher?

I voted for Gill, mostly because I noticed that there was only one commentary that had a vote. I use commentaries very little, but when I don't understand something and need some extra help, I usually check with Gill first to get some Light shed. There are a couple others that I check -...

    Gill Commentary

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. (John 21:25)

    commentary

You could do a basic search for the name of your commentary to see if it's stored someplace in your computer that you don't have linked to SwordSearcher. If you find it, check the file date, then if you save it again and it disappears, you can look the file up again and check the date to see if...

    Code Editor - Tables

Here is a sample. You specify the total width of the table with the table tag, then specify the width of the cells with the first table data tags. You only need to specify the width of the cells once. You can set the width in pixels as well as percent. <TABLE cellSpacing=10 width="100%"...

    2024 is SwordSearcher's 30th Anniversary! 😁

Congratulations on the anniversary of your wonderful product! I was just this morning thinking about when I picked up my first SwordSearcher. I went to the computer meetings with my old boss, his old boss, and a customer from the business. We had a great time, I picked up share-ware programs...

    Making a personal devotional/prayer module

I've been working on a personal devotional and prayer module by transcribing Daily Jesus Prayers on YouTube. (Listen, pause, type) They start out with a mini sermon and end with a prayer. I'm finding it very rewarding and edifying to create this module. When someone comes to mind that I want...
