I finished creating a new module in the last few days. I have 5 or 6 or more old hard drives and no matter which old drive I install again, this new module I just made will be there. Do you know why this may be happening? Thanks.

Did you save it to the cloud, by chance and it's being opened from there?

Go to File, Preferences, Module File Locations. That will show you where SwordSearcher is looking for your modules. The module you are wondering about will be in one of those locations.

SwordSearcher would not use an external drive for module storage by default. You would have to add the location. I really recommend against using external drives that you unplug for module storage. It's a recipe for frustration.

I did, I did, I did, I did, I did, I did, I did, ...... Amen >>>>>> 3x different places, #1 4TB external drive in a fire proof safe. {ONLY for SwordSearcher, since 2006}
I learned the hard way...remember M. Staggs ? ? ?😭😭😭😭 #2 250G flash drive. carry around for everyday usage. Finally #3, a LapTop, other than my main computer. I do not trust the Cloud, so I count only on myself.🐸:D

EVERY WEEK,
EVERY WEEK,
EVERY WEEK,
EVERY WEEK,
BACK UP
BACK UP
BACK UP
BACK UP
period.

Just to clarify -- external drives are great for backups. What I mean above is that I would not suggest adding external drive locations to the Module File Locations in SwordSearcher, which is used to live access/editing.

I have 2 locations showing for my module locations:

C:\Documents\SwordSearcher User Modules
C:\Users\rhode\OneDrive\Documents\Sword Searcher User Modules\

The first one is the one it uses and the second one shows that it has been deleted or is unavailable. (I cannot delete it - it will not let me).
There is nothing else I can do, is there?
Thanks.

I'm sorry, I am failing to understand the problem. Neither of those are external drive locations, and you mentioned before plugging in several different hard drives.

I worked on it some more tonight and changed it somewhat. If I have any more questions that might make sense, I will reply again. We can hope - reckon? :) Thank you. MGB.

Perhaps if you did a "search" for the "name you gave it", it would be found in "Windows Explorer."
Then you would know the location.
GoTo - This PC

Then search for named file
search.jpg
Windows search will find that filename
From this search you can determine the Location.
Hope this helps.
