Appending

Help! I need help regarding the "Append Selected Text" on the Edit menu. The SwordSearcher manual is silent and I have experimented with it but cannot figure out how it works. Years ago I used a word processing software that had a feature like this where selected text from some source could be appended to a document without opening the doccument - it was a great feature.

Appending to the clipboard simply adds the selected text to whatever text is already on the Windows clipboard.
