Book chapters and how to get them in order.

I have looked at documentation and watched videos, but I think I am missing this. I have had multiple concussions over my life, so that may be why lol.

If I try to make a book (copy and paste) I start with Chapter 1. When I do Chapter 2, 2 is on top and 1 goes down a spot. So if I do 10 chapters the first will show as 10 and the last in line will be 1.
What am I doing wrong? I know it must be something simple, but I have been unable to figure it out.

Number the chapters like 0001 Gen 1, 0002 Gen 2, ... 1189 Rev 22. Put the number 1st then the title. Use as many digit as needed.
You could also use a decimal system 1.1 title, 1.2 etc.
