Could the verse reference and widgets stay small and fixed as the size of the text is increased using the ctrl ]? Maybe they could have their own font size setting in the preferences.
When you are presenting to a group, it's nice to make the Bible text large but then the verse ref. and widget area take up a lot of the screen, especially if you have a presentation like Powerpoint sharing the "real estate".
