God's Medicine - A Daily Dose

Part 2 of 2: New Testament Scriptures

Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew 6:9-10
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Note: Jesus always prays the will of God, and He prays that the will of God be done in earth just as it is in heaven. Our body is earth ?see Genesis 2:7: ?And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground?? He formed us of the earth. People in heaven are not sick, so we can clearly see it is God's will that we also be free from sickness.

Matthew 7:7-8
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
The word "ask" in the Greek has the meaning of insistent asking with a knowing of what belongs to the one making the request. Presenting a solid requisition to God, knowing He longs to distribute what He has to the one in need. Look at James 1:5-8 we must ask in faith, and faith always knows, it never wishes!

Matthew 8:2-3
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, LORD, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Matthew 8:16-17
16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
Confession: Jesus Himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. He carried away my sicknesses and diseases. He bore them away and removed them. Disease is not mine. Healing is mine. I refuse to bear what Jesus bore for me. Satan, you cannot put disease on me. I refuse to accept sickness. I will not tolerate sickness. Sickness and disease are totally unacceptable to me.

Matthew 9:35
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Don?t ever forget Acts 10:34 ? ??God is no respecter of persons.? This means that if He did it for them, it is His will do it for you!

Matthew 10:1
And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Matthew 18:18
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
The word "bind" means to forbid, the word "loose" means to let go or to allow to go free. Do not allow sickness, pain or disease run free in your body, bind it or forbid it to stay there any longer. Put your foot down and command it to leave in the Name of Jesus!!!

Matthew 18:19
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
The prayer of agreement is powerful - have someone agree with you for your healing!

Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 21:21
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Mark 11:22-23-24
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Surely this includes healing! What kind of mountains or obstacles do you have in your life right now? Obey Jesus and command that mountain of pain, cancer, disease, to go, now out of your body in the Name of Jesus. Jesus said you can have what you say. Begin to call your body whole, healed, well - don't stop, don't listen to your body, listen to Jesus!

Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Find someone who believes God's Word regarding healing and have them lay hands on you and pray for you. James 5:16 says that ?the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.?

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
This is an exciting verse as Jesus said He has given us authoritive power over ALL, not some of the enemy! Command Satan to take his hands off of you. Command sickness and disease to leave you now in the Name of Jesus.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
God's Word is healing, it will bring health to your flesh. See Proverbs 4:22. That's why it is important to continue to go over the healing scriptures daily, therefore building your faith in the area of healing, imparting the very life of God into your cells.

John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The Word of God is truth; see John 17:17. Once you know the truth concerning healing in God's redemptive plan, then you can begin to exercise faith and expect the promises of God to manifest in you - and they will - REJOICE!!!

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Here we see the desired will of the LORD for every believer, that we experience abundant life. According to this verse He came for this very purpose. We also see clearly here that it is not God who afflicts us. The word here for life is the Greek word "zoe." One commentator describes the true meaning of this word in this verse as: "the highest and best of which Christ is." In light of that meaning you can easily see the wonderful gift of life the LORD wants for each of us. Sickness and disease are truly not in His plan for us, simply because He has none to give.

John 15:7
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Acts 4:10
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
This is your confession! ??even by Him do I stand before you whole!?

Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Romans 4:17-21
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

Romans 8:2
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
And the effects of death and the curse!

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Take a close look at this Scripture, this is talking about your body that you have now, not the one you're going to receive one day in heaven! Allow the LORD to impart His life into you by placing faith in His Word. Begin to praise Him for this promise!

Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
You are a winner, you are victorious through the LORD Jesus Christ! Begin to see yourself the way God sees you.

Romans 8:32
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Surely this includes healing!

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Note - Faith for healing comes by hearing God's Word concerning healing. So just as you may be taking medicine two or three times a day, do the same thing with the promises in the Word of God regarding healing, and allow your faith to be built up! You'll be amazed at the change that will take place.

Romans 11:29
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance (irrevocable).
Note - He's the giver of gifts and He doesn't take them back, they cannot be canceled out!

I Corinthians 3:21-22
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
This says it so clearly, the LORD is holding nothing back from us. Surely healing is included in the claim of "all things" and certainly is included in the word "life." Begin to praise the LORD for your healing which is a gift to you from the LORD, and the manifestation that will come as you receive the promise by faith.

II Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Notice that according to God all of His promises towards us are "YES" and amen (so be it!) or it is settled! There are no "no's" from the LORD to us when it comes to performing His Word.

II Corinthians 10:4-5
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Keep your focus on the promises of God, you have to make yourself stay focused. Don't allow your mind to stray - the manifestation of your healing is on it's way! State Your Case To God!

Galatians 3:13-14
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
The curse of the law includes sickness and disease and is found in Deuteronomy 28:15-68 - the first 14 verses pertain to the blessing and the rest of the chapter describes the curse! By the shed Blood of Jesus Christ we were purchased out of or out from under the curse!!!

Ephesians 6:10-17
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the LORD, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Philippians 4:6-7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Remember there is no sickness or disease in the kingdom of God! Here again is another wonderful scripture proving your birthright of healing.

I Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our LORD Jesus Christ.
It is very clear in this passage that wholeness, wellness, and health is for the complete make-up of man, spiritual, mental, and physical.

II Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised; )
Remember Hebrews 6:18 says that it is impossible for God to lie!

Hebrews 10:35-36
35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
It is impossible for God to lie!

Hebrews 12:12-13
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; 13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
Real faith rejoices at the promises of God as if it were experiencing them already. Get your focus off of your problem and on to the answer which is the promises of God - His Word. REJOICE! Get happy, it's all yours!

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Don?t you ever think that healing was for then, not now. Hebrews 13:8 shows that it is indeed for now and forever.

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Healing is a wonderful gift from God, and here again is another proof that He does not change. What He did yesterday He will do again today - Praise the LORD, He is still the Healer!!!

James 5:14-16
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
Confession: By Jesus' stripes I was healed. Healing belongs to me. I was healed 2,000 years ago by the stripes Jesus bore. I'm not trying to get healed. I've got healing, because by His stripes I was healed.

II Peter 1:3-4
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
Notice the past tense use of "has" given us all things that pertain to life!!! The blessing of health was purchased for us at the cross, it belongs to you now. Notice the importance of the Word of God; your healing must be rooted steadfastly on the Word, not on what you see or how you feel.

I John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

I John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
As a believer, we are given the right to overcome that which comes against us. We do not deny the problem or circumstance exists; we do however deny the problem the right to stay!!! Faith in God is victory all of the time!!!

I John 5:14-15
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
The Word of God is the will of God. If you see it in the Word of God then you can be assured that it is the will of God. The LORD is not trying to keep healing from you, He is trying to get it to you - Only Believe!

III John 2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
