Hymnal

This is a wonderful addition to the program. It will enhance my preaching and teaching because hymns can be a wonderful illustration / help to support a point or a message.

I am well aware this just got added, and I am guessing it represents a large amount of time and work. I imagine you have considered this, and have either dismissed it (perhaps for obvious reasons) or have considered it, "but..." ~ However, progress in the program which we benefit from often inspires us to ask for something else.

So, is there any way to add midi files for each hymn? Even as I ask I realize this may prove too large to do. Online links to another site (like hymnal.net) might not even be possible. So I am realistic in my expectations, but, you have always shown a willingness to be open to end user suggestions, Brandon, even wild ones, so why not at least ask?

You can download the midis you want and make a module with each of them named and linked, then when you want to listen to them, you just click the link. I did that with J Vernon McGee's 5 years of Thru the Bible and it works very well.

I looked into it before I finished the module. There were several issues I couldn't resolve to my satisfaction, so I decided just to keep it a purely textual resource.

I'd recommend just using one of the several online hymn sources for the actual music.

Thanks.

I'm going to try that! Thanks for the idea ;)
