Dr. Ironside’s Bible: Notes and Quotes from the Margins of his Bible.

A few moments of browsing through his Bible will quickly reveal Dr. Henry A Ironside’s devotional love for the Book,
also his method of expounding it. He was probably the most famous exponent of verse-by-verse exposition of our
generation. Dr. Ironside’s manner of marking the Bible is a fascinating study in itself. In fact, all flyleaves are actually
covered with sayings, poems, diagrams, illustrations, epitaphs, and even Chinese characters, which he studied for
recreation. Here and there, he has noted some of the great themes of the Bible, which signified the power and
effectiveness of his preaching. But perhaps the richest of the treasure is the reading of his choice comments scattered
over some fifteen hundred pages of Scripture, as written by him in the margins. This volume contains selections from
the many 12 marginal notes found in each of the Books of the great expositor’s old Bible. If the reader will fit these
notes with chapter and verse, he will find the map leading to buried treasure.​

I have currently finished this module with the Introductory Articles and Ironside's Notes thru the
book of Ruth. This module is currently a "Work in Progress"

Sorry about that John. I will correct that oversight later when I get home. Knew I forgot something.... Am currently working on several modules. One has a lot of pictures and deals with symbolism in the Bible..... it is a work that is copyrighted 1908.

Thanks Chuck,
Some interesting info about the author. Might add it to the module and update it. There are really about 176 images total, but within those images are hundreds of graphics. I thought some of those images might make a. Interesting insert in a church bulletin, maybe to stimulate someone's memory of bible passages.

Took me about three days to put together. After the 1st couple chapters I realized it was much easier to create tables in Word to insert the graphic images into. And of course, I made the borders invusible so they dont display in SwordSearcher. BTW, that link shows only 10 or so of the images that are in the book.

No problem, it is interesting, i will probably still down load the module, can you cut and past the images out of the module into other documents?

Chuck, you should be able to do that using Microsoft Word or any other appropriate word processor. You can also load any of the images in the symbols assets subdirectory into your word processor or desktop publisher with no problem as far as copying and pasting that should work at hadn't thought about trying it yet but it should work let me know what you find out.
