Prayer requested for Pat Murphy

Beta Tester
Dear fellow prayer warriors,

I am requesting prayer for Pat Murphy, who recently joined the staff of the Harbour Light of the Windwards ( radio station. He has suffered a mild heart attack and is presently at the hospital in Grenada. He is a much needed addition to the staff in Carriacou and they desire prayers for the doctors to be able to properly treat him and that our Lord my grant him a swift recovery.

Thank you as always!

Psalms 103:2-3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Psalms 30:2 O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

James 5:15-16 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I pray these promises for Pat Murphy. Amen :)

Here is an update on Pat and thank you again for your prayers:-

Thank you very much for praying for Pat Murphy. He was released from the hospital this morning after the enzyme test came back negative. That contradicts the initial EKG report but clears the way for him to travel for further evaluation and treatment. He is still feeling very weak and on the edge of nausea - afraid to eat certain things for fear it will set his nausea off again.

Lord willing, the Murphys will fly up to the USA tomorrow. They quickly packed and flew down to Grenada this afternoon in preparation for tomorrow morning's flight. Please pray for Pat and Janice as they fly - that Pat will not become nauseated or have any problems along the way. Pray for strength for Janice. She has not had a good night's sleep for several nights. They will have layovers in Puerto Rico and Miami before reaching their final destination of Atlanta.

Pray also that God will open the right doors as they seek answers as to what is going on and wisdom for the doctors as they treat Pat. We have grown to love the Murphys very much, and they have contributed much in the short time they have been here. God has good reason for allowing this to happen and we will see it in due time. Pray that God will be glorified through all of this and that they will be able to return home soon, Lord willing.

Spreading the WORD,

Dear Partners in prayer,

Thank you so much for lifting up Pat before God's throne of mercy... here is an update from Carriacou, Grenada:-

May 23, 2011
Greetings from Carriacou!

Thank you for praying for Pat Murphy. The surgery to remove his gall bladder was successful and he is feeling better, praise the Lord. Here is what Janice had to say this past Friday.

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for your many prayers. They have been answered!!! Yesterday, Pat had his gall bladder removed. He is home, doing well and feels better than he has in months. Of course he is sore but says he doesn?t feel nearly as bad as he has for the past three months. Rest is the prescribed medicine for the next few days as well as some lifting restrictions for the next 4 ? 6 weeks. He has a follow up appointment with the G I specialist on the first of June to check the status of the stint. If he has not passed it they will have to go back in to remove it. We are praying it will dislodge by itself and save him from having to have another procedure. His follow up appointment to see the surgeon is on the 15th of June and provided all goes well with that we will make plans to return to Carriacou as soon as possible. We are ready to go HOME and get back to the work the Lord has called us to. We are so grateful for all of those who have picked up the slack while we have been gone. We know many have sacrificed much, worked longer hours and stepped outside their comfort area to make it all happen. We pray the Lord will bless you abundantly.

Once again, please accept our thanks and gratitude for all the prayers said on our behalf.

God Bless You Richly,
Pat and Janice Murphy
