Are there any special characters that the search note function recognizes. I was thinking it would be a nice feature if you could characterize a verse by putting a special character in front of a word in a user note. Then all verses categorized as prayer (any category) could easily be retrieved.

For example:
~prayer in a note for ps 66:18


Another thought would be a drop down menu activated by ctrl click on a verse reference. Then you could select a predetermined category or add a new category - like in Daily Bible and Prayer to categorize requests by type.

The search routine only looks for alphanumeric characters, and the tilde is used to signify a fuzzy match (see the help file under Advanced Search Expressions). Other special characters are used to signify other matching modes.

If the goal is to create a topical index, I would suggest devoting a user-created book to that purpose. You could easily send verse links to the editor and also links to your commentary entries.
