I just discovered something about Vista. Vista will copy data files from the program files directory or the program files (x86) directory to a hidden location at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\VirtualStore.
This turns out to waste a lot of disk space if you have media files like audio or images stored in the program files directory. As an example, all the SS image files are copied to the virtual store. I have 3 sets of audio files each having 1189 files of 1-5 mb each in the program files directory. They are also in the C:\Users\wsbones\AppData\Local\VirtualStore directory.
The best thing is not to have data files in the program files directory but that's not always possible.
