Verse Arrows

I like the chapter arrow buttons, but am wondering if we could get verse arrows too please.

(For verses I for one would prefer up down arrows instead of left right)
I'm thinking the verse arrows (maybe) could auto put the reading tab in verse selection mode. Moving by verses one up or down would select the prev/next verse. With the semi opaque selection box wrapped around it. The other verses would be slightly greyed out. This would be a sync mode with a custom behavior; whatever study material would sync with it, in the other boxes. The view of the reading box would keep the current verse in the middle, (after moving down enough gets to the middle). So we could quickly do a verse by verse study. Probably using the Shift + up/down keys on our keyboard. Alt + up/down would disregard sync, just select the prev/next verse. The arrow keys by themselves would still be the scroll bar (and Page up/down). Scrolling away from the current verse would break the sync mode, would return when using the drop down or the Shift + arrow keys again.

How much experience do you have with the program?

Perhaps you need to work with the program a bit more to get used to it's features?

Ya, I have more suggestions, but will keep them to myself until I know for sure they aren't there.
I should do more study on the program first.

But are you telling me there already is a verse selection box?

Try f6

I decided to actually study the keyboard shortcuts.
It's Alt + Up/Dn. Without the verse box, but close enough. This man knows what he's doing, that's for sure.

I love the keyboard shortcuts. Brandon was very accomodating when I've asked about maintaining them over time, and in his latest release there is a wonderful keyboard use to scroll through active tabs in the active window. Great to go through the commentaries on a particular verse.

The easiest way to jump to a specific verse in the Bible panel chapter that is already open is to just type the verse number into the main search box and press Enter. and if you aren't already focused on an edit box somewhere, you don't even need to click the search box, it will process the keyboard input.

Look at some of the videos on SwordSearcher.com. They're very good and will answer some questions before you even knew you had them. https://www.swordsearcher.com/video/index.html
Can't seem to get through the tutorial because I keep getting stopped with reading all these wonderful books. Same reason I can't seem to get any music done because once I start playing on my keyboard all I want to do is jam on it. Then the time goes poof.

In any program that requires two clicks I'm ten times less likely to stray from my goal to follow up with a side quest, than one click. So a program like this full of quick shortcuts to relevant things is the most useful.

My recent workflow went something like this:
Following along with the tutorial video, then ooh look at that, a Spurgeon introduction. Nice, didn't know those things.
Oh, a 3:33 verse reference. I'm interested in that number. Let's look it up. "The curse of the Lord is upon the house of the wicked."
That's no good; surely it's talking about gang members and porn stars and what not.

So let's do a word study on wicked. Have a look at what these commentaries say about it. Oh, it's linked to impenitence. Let's study that.
Oh...

OOOHHH. Wait a second...

This program is exactly what I needed. Already has paid for itself.
For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

I agree, it's hard to stay disciplined in SwordSearcher with all the rich features and material. I have to pick a course and just stay with it or I go down many rabbit holes.
