Missing Icon

I know, this isn't exactly a deal breaker, but before I had to do a system restore on my Win laptop, the Sword Searcher icon, would sit quite pretty in my task bar. Now, after the system restore the icon shows simply as a white rectangle. Any fixes?

Right-click it, and un-pin it. Then start SwordSearcher from the start menu, and re-pin it.

Interesting. When I right clicked and unpinned, the icon displayed properly. But when I closed it and restarted it from the start menu, it was back to the white rectangle thingy...after repinnning to taskbar.

IOW, the white rectangle only shows when I 'pin' to taskbar.

I've seen this kind of thing happen when I update certain programs on the desktop, but never bad like that. Maybe you could fix this by rebuilding the icon cache. Here's one article that shows how: https://www.howtogeek.com/232779/how-to-rebuild-a-broken-icon-cache-in-windows-10/

Looks like kind of a pain to try. I would un-pin SwordSearcher, reboot, and then try pinning it again before doing anything drastic.
