How do YOU guys set up and use your personal notes/commentaries in SS?

New and excited user here.

Hoping to see what the rest of you are doing to optimize the software for personal notes. How do you utilize/assign the verse widgets by each verse? Do you have one module for all your notes on book chapter verse? And then the system will index it? Or do you create separate modules for each book or chapter? Thanks!

It's good to see you here, JP802! Johnny NL is right, it's easy to make SwordSearcher your own. I created a user commentary module where I write notes, other verses, etc. One of the widgets points to it so if I'm reading the Bible and want to make a note, I can just click on the widget and create the note. I use the one commentary module for notes on the whole Bible. Try it, you'll like it!

Welcome. I think SS is the best Bible study program there is for so many reasons, but the biggest is perhaps how it is so integrated - and how it integrates new material, like personal notes.

I don't have any personal notes within the program, but I am sure others will give you good ideas. I think if you wanted to make your own commentary it would be the best way to add to all the Bible, but I am sure if you work with it enough, you'll find what works best for you. God bless you are you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus!

Welcome to SwordSearcher. These comments remind me when I started. Everyone was very helpful. The Forum is the place to seek answers about SwordSearcher. We will be asking you one day maybe!

I strongly recommend the "one module" approach for verse based commentary. Creating separate modules for books or chapters would crowd your library a lot and make finding what you want very tedious. I have a single personal commentary module where all of my verse-based notes go.

For books, I have two that I use for the most part: a topical book where I write topical notes and often paste in useful stuff from the internet, and another I use to record lesson plans.

Would a screenshot help here...? ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿ“š ๐Ÿค“ hint, hint...

Let me add my voice of welcome with my fellow SS family as we all know how blessed you're going to be using the program ๐Ÿฅฐ
