Robert Murray M'Cheyne (1813-1843) was an evangelist and pastor in Scotland. He authored a daily Bible reading calendar that has become widely popular over the years. Using this calendar, the Old Testament is read in one year and the New Testament and Psalms twice per year. The calendar may be split into two years which you may find more practical. Using this approach the New Testament and Psalms are covered in one year; And the Old Testament is covered every two years.
The original calendar has the columns labeled as "Family" and "Secret"; one for family reading and the other for private reading. I've changed those column names to "Year 1" and "Year 2" in order to show it as a two year plan. Other than the column names, there is no content change from the original.
To follow the original one year plan, read the chapters referenced in the "Year 1" and "Year 2" columns each day. To follow the two year plan, read the chapters from the "Year 1" column during the first year, and then read the chapters from the "Year 2" column during the second year.
