    5.2 released

Re: SwordSearcher 5.2 Released Looks good! I like the Red letter addition. What does this mean: Show Margin Area toggle toolbar button. I clicked it, but I am not sure what it did... I also appreciate having all the tabs in a single line, with an arrow you can click on the side to advance...

    Hyperlink

Thanks Rosy for that quote - it actually taught me something new (such as an easier way to do hyperlinking than I had done before).

    Bible Verse Screensaver

Sorry, I was responding to JaeByrd's post in regards to wallpaper backgrounds - not screensavers. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused. I realize just now that I typed in the wrong word in my post above...

    The Riches of Divine Grace

The SwordSearcher Bible program is the only software that you can use to open ss files. You would also need version five for this specific module, as that is what the ss5 indicates. You can download an earlier version to try, but it would not be able to access this module...

SwordSearcher Bible Software wins SIAF People?s Choice Awards 2007

That's neat. I knew that I wasn't the only one that really like this program!

    Book Problym

Go into Preferences and look at the third tab down: Visible Library Tabs. At the bottom of the box you are given two options. Make sure you have this one checked: When SwordSearcher starts, show only my selected Library tabs. It looks like you might have the other one selected.

    Reporting typographical errors

I have noticed one error in Strong's (that I can remember seeing, though cannot remember what entry it was in). As far as "hie" goes, that is not an error - but is how Strong's Concordance has it. Webster's gives this definition of hie: HIE, v.i. 1. To hasten; to move or run with haste; to go...

    Any Interest In Devotionals?

I have the introduction to Faith's Checkbook in Genesis 1:1. After the whole module is done, I can edit 1:1 to list all the days of the year, with links to that page. Would that be beneficial, or would that just bog people down? For example: After Intro... January 1 - Either devotional...

    Any Interest In Devotionals?

Looks like I lost the material posted online on Faith's Checkbook, though I still have it as an incomplete module in Swordsearcher. How can I or how do I make it like Morning And Evening, where each day's devotional is not just linked to the passage, but also linked to the proper day of the...

    Any Interest In Devotionals?

Brother Mike, if you go to http://www.earnestlycontending.com you will find The Holy War module there. Perhaps you can import it to 5, and then put it on your site. I also have two modules on the Psalms In Metre. I need to import those too. One worked for me, the other didn't so far (though I...

    Any Interest In Devotionals?

There are also several other study materials I have edited, that hopefully are still available online, such as: Sermon Seeds From the Psalms - highlights and statements based on each Psalm - they are of a devotional nature, and useful to look at main themes and important ideas. One per Psalm...

    Any Interest In Devotionals?

In the last couple of years, I have been working on various devotional books, and was wondering if there was any interest in them? They are: Our Daily Homily by F.B. Meyer - which contains a devotional on each chapter of the Bible. Moments Of Meditation - which contains 365 Daily meditations...

Starting work on "A Dreamer and His Wonderful Dream"

I think I know what happened. When I installed, the program probably wanted to put them in My Documents, but I thought it was a strange place to put them, so I changed the location where they were installed. I do not use My Documents for anything. I prefer to use folders on my desktop for all my...

Starting work on "A Dreamer and His Wonderful Dream"

I took them out of the subfolder and just put them in with the rest in the Module folder and that is working good.

Starting work on "A Dreamer and His Wonderful Dream"

The only folders I have in Swordsearcher are Images and Modules. Inside Modules is a Book folder. I made a Documents folder just now and moved them to it, but that didn't do the trick.

Starting work on "A Dreamer and His Wonderful Dream"

I put Pilgrim's Progress and A Dreamer And His Wonderful Dream into my Swordsearcher 5 Book Module folder, but can't seem to access them. They are not listed in my choice of tabs to select. Is there anything else I need to do?

Go To This Verse In Bible View...

Thanks - don't know why I didn't think of that! I have put my mouse over it to read the verse, but didn't think to click on it for that verse to show up in the Bible display. See, version 5 just keeps getting better all the time!

Just noticed -- it's good, mostly

Doh, the thing about Webster's! Didn't know that! I was still clicking on the appropriate Webster's module, and then clicking on the word I wanted to look up - like I had to do in 4. Live and learn. 5 is pretty good. Don't know why people like other Bible programs, except for possibly having...
