SwordSearcher 10 Released with new Natural Language Searching (and more)

I also want to praise Brandon for how rock-solid SS10 is. I have yet to find any show-stopping bugs in it. I have used other Bible study apps over the years with their fair share of bugs. Thank you Brandon for keeping SS releases as solid as possible when releasing them.

SwordSearcher 10 Released with new Natural Language Searching (and more)

I upgraded today. Very excited about the new natural language search and the other new features. Some excellent innovations and useful new modules. Well worth the upgrade price. By the way, SS10 runs well on my M2 MacBook Air under VMware Fusion using Windows on ARM. Even in low power mode it...

Semi- (not very) technical explanation of Natural Language Search

I was curious concerning the technical aspects of this new feature. Thank you for posting this. I upgraded today and have played around with this. I am truly amazed with this new feature. Very well done!

Guide to Running SwordSearcher on Linux Operating Systems (Updated June 2024)

FYI...I didn't get a chance to test on Mac. The Mac I was going to test on was decommissioned during some recent job changes (I was laid off my full-time job, and my part-time job also ended, so I'm officially on the job hunt). However, I am running SwordSearcher on a Windows on ARM VM under...

    Looking Up KJV Words

I love classic dictionaries as well. I also do have the Way of Life Encyclopedia. It's another good one.

Perfect. I'll give this a try. Thanks for all the great info!

    Looking Up KJV Words

Occasionally I get asked from family members (as the family Bible scholar) to define certain ancient words (oblation, holpen, etc) in the KJV. Is there an easy way I can do this in SS by clicking on a word or running some form of study? I have a couple of print KJV Bibles that have definitions...

    John Butler Books

I've heard Phillips is good but haven't read him yet. Need to check into him!

    John Butler Books

John Bulter was an Independent Baptist pastor who wrote a commentary series on the Bible, a set of sermon starters, a daily devotional series, a series of biographies on people in the Bible, and a series on Christ. He was a master at alliteration, fundamental in doctrine, and used the KJV as his...

Migrate SwordSearcher to a New PC

Thanks! I will try this out. Where do Sorenson's UTB, Way of Life's Two Modules, and NASB95 store their SS modules?

Could AI take down sword searcher?

Thanks Brandon. I purchase all my SS upgrades directly from you. I was new to SS when I saw it on The KJV Store website, so that's how I purchased my first copy.

Could AI take down sword searcher?

In addition to SS being local, there are other stores that sell the CD, plus there are plenty of SS users who can tell others about it via word of mouth. There are also plenty of non-AI search engines that freely showcase Christian websites, so I believe enough people would be able to find out...

    TBS Articles

There are tons of great articles on the Trinitarian Bible Society website. I've also read through them in print in the past. Any chance that an SS user with some free time could find out from TBS if they'd allow them to put a collection of their articles into a TBS SS User Module? It would be...

    John Butler Books

These wouldn't be free but addon purchases, but any chance SS could team up with the late John Butler's family to get all his books as addon purchases for SS? I use them heavily in print. Having them in SS would be super-useful. Thanks!

Migrate SwordSearcher to a New PC

I got a new PC. What would be the quickest way to migrate SS, including custom modules/settings, over to it. Thanks!

Article on KJV and Isaiah 9:6

Topic and Verse Guide did the trick. There was a wealth of solid and useful discussions on it. It's fascinating that I was able to get such a wealth of riches a click away using Topic and Verse Guide. SS makes it a breeze to enjoy the riches of God's Word and the library it comes with.

Article on KJV and Isaiah 9:6

Sounds good. Thanks Brandon for the info! I will try a Topic and Verse Guide search. I have Sorenson's commentary in SS, so I may check him out as well and read his comments on the verse.

Article on KJV and Isaiah 9:6

Indeed. The missing comma (in many modern versions) changes the entire meaning of the verse which people are missing. I hear a myriad of preachers and Bible teachers refer to Christ in this passage as the "Wonderful Counselor". While He certainly is a Wonderful Counselor, the missing comma...
