A Blended Reading Plan for 2024

Thank you. I might just use that plan :)

Commentary that sends links to all its Bible references to the Bible margin

I forgot that. I don't want to do that. There are probably thousands in scores of user modules …

Commentary that sends links to all its Bible references to the Bible margin

I was thinking last night that maybe I could rename my user commentary so that it was always at the top of the list in the TVG. Maybe with an * or ° character at the front. I haven't tried it yet, though.

Commentary that sends links to all its Bible references to the Bible margin

Thank you for considering it. Somehow the Topic Guide and Verse Guides have never excited me. It's probably some way I process information. A lot of details in one place (the margin) excites me and I use it, but a lot of details in a separate panel doesn't thrill me. However, maybe, just maybe...

Commentary that sends links to all its Bible references to the Bible margin

I have a commentary module in which I write my own notes on the Scripture on a per-verse basis. Because it is a SwordSearcher commentary module and not a SwordSearcher book module, the only links to my user commentary that show up in the margin when reading the Bible are the links to the one...

    J. Sidlow Baxter - Book Module

JS Baxter's book Explore the Book, best I can tell, will be copyrighted for years to come, so distribution without permission of the copyright holder would be problematic. Best approach: look in the book to see who copyrighted it (JSB himself or a publisher?), then try to figure out whom to...

    Mistake in Alexander Scourby

@RevTim, Sorry! That was the HTML output. Just a quick way to paste it in. Eric

    Mistake in Alexander Scourby

If anyone has any corrections to my observations, please do list them for me here. I'll update my user commentary module.

    Mistake in Alexander Scourby

Here are my notes on Scourby. Some of my notes may be wrong, but this is from a commentary module (user module) I update when I find things I think may be different in Scourby than in the KJV edition I read. Scourby Exodus 10:15 Scourby says, "throughout" rather than KJV's "through"...

    Isa. and Is.

Regie, I cannot do it, but if someone with more time than I have could do a screenshare with you, that person could probably find the problem. I'm very sorry you are struggling with this! May God give you grace and patience as you "fight" technology!

    Isa. and Is.

And if you open another other app in Windows (e.g., Word Pad), and you type in "Isa", does it stay "Isa" or change? Additional questions: You said, "…a text being shown as Isaiah 45:11-13 having Isa 45:11-13 on the top line being switched to Is 45:11-13 when I go to edit mode". What text? Are...

    Isa. and Is.

I do not think SwordSearcher itself has any autocorrect, but Brandon could answer authoritatively. Can you describe precisely what you are doing (what pane you are working in, what you are trying to do, when precisely "Isa" changes to "Is")? Maybe a bit more info or even screenshots would help...

    Isa. and Is.

Might there be some kind of auto correct feature turned on in Windows? Just a thought. Maybe some preprogrammed something thinks "Isa" should always be "Is"… I like to make my own errors, thus I decline the help autocorrect features often provide :)

How to search and eliminate several similar words?

I'm putting this conversation between Brandon and me here in the forums so I can find it in the future. :) Note that according to White's Dictionary of the King James Language, Volume One (p. 122), "'Donkey' is a modern name for the ass, first used in A.D. 1785.") Eric: Brandon:

Hebrew and TR Greek Editions Question

Old Testament: I don't know. New Testament: The TR in SwordSearcher often includes the "movable nu" where Scrivener's TR / Trinitarian Bible Society's TR omits it. Although it refers to Attic and Ionic Greek rather than Biblical koine Greek, here is an article about the movable nu...

How do I find the word count?

Brandon, Am I right about this regarding Search > Passage Analysis? > I think that using either the regular KJV packaged with SwordSearcher or the KJVm will give imprecise word counts if one wants to count only the KJV's words that are translated from inspired/canonical Hebrew, Aramaic and...

How do I find the word count?

Apparently I do not have the KJVm (KJV minimal) on my computer. Where can I get it? Thank you!

    SwordSearcher Modules on Dispensationalism

Nathan, I don't know of any in SwordSearcher that meet those criteria.
