Big Picture Module

I updated this module to fix a couple broken links. You can download the installer file here:

Look in C:\program files (x86)\SwordSearcher 5\Images\BigPicture\ and see if they are there. They are named:

_Abraham Journeys.gif
paul's writings.gif
paul's first.gif
Paul's second.gif

The images files must be in C:\program files (x86)\swordsearcher 5\images\BigPicture\ because the BPS module has them hard coded to be there. The (x86) is what Vista requires for 32 bit programs.

Is it possible that you are using an old BPS module that is pointing to c:/program files/swordsearcher 5/images/BigPicture/ . If that were the case, it would not find the missing files. The date on the BPS.ssbook should be 9/17/2010 at 9:10 AM and the size is 382 Kb.

As a test, I deleted my BPS.ssbook from the SS user directory and also the Big Picture directory under C:\program files (x86)\swordsearcher 5\images\ and then I reinstalled them using the installer you have. Everything works fine for me. You might try that if you can't get it to work.

Also see if you have a Big Picture directory in the directory: c:/program files/swordsearcher 5/images/ . If so that would be from an old installation and the files you listed may be missing from there. The new BPS module would not be looking there anyway.

I hope that will solve the problem.

I am still using XP Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600

yes, before and after I deleted BPS folder under both program files directory and have reinstalled.

I'll see if I can figure something out. I have an XP machine that I haven't used for a while. I'll put the SS beta on it and install the Big Picture module and see what happens. May take a few days.

Bill I am having the same problem as Ishak,
Big Picture Studies
abrahams journeys
<img src="c:/program files(x86)/swordsearcher 5/images/BigPicture/_abraham journeys.gif"

I am using windows7.

I hope I have all the links fixed now. I'd like this to be the FINAL BPS module. It's been tested under XP and Vista. Thanks for your patience.

Bill
It works almost perfect.
I install twice under C:\Program Files\SwordSearcher 5 and C:\program files (x86).

However the following links are still not working:
img src="c:/program files/swordsearcher 5/images/BigPicture/_abraham journeys.gif"
<img src="c:/program files/swordsearcher 5/images/BigPicture/modern.gif"
on bp > 90 second history lesson
on bp and revelation > God's Plan of Ages
on 3 Kings > 19 bad kings and 19 kins 1 queen 8 were good

yet I enjoy checking especially 90sec.htm

I wish I knew what's wrong. All these links are working for me both with Vista and XP.

Try the ExodusRevealed topic. That's an interesting one.

I still have the same problem Bill / Brandon, with the additional links.

Doctinal themes linked in Paul's epistles by colored lines. Hover over underlined links (just a blue sq though scripture texts pop up when moving the pointer in side the sq.)

But the rest of the Big Picture works great and it is great stuff, thanks bill.

Ishak, see if this update makes a difference.

Yes it is . . .
Interestingly on 'bigpicture 90 second history lesson', it shows up in Explorer browser instead of Mozilla (default).
The same happened with '19 bad kings and 19 kins 1 queen 8 were good'.

Indeed there are many interesting pictures.

Where can I find the link to Modern Mid East map Google from BP?

some links are still not working though . . .

Firefox must not be the default for showing flash video (filetype swf). The gif files should open up inside of Swordsearcher since they now have their own topics. Try downloading the Big Picture installer again. Maybe you don't have the latest version. http://cid-07560b7ef0ba6f1c.office.live.com/self.aspx/SwordSearcher Modules/InstallBP.exe

I don't understand this question - Where can I find the link to Modern Mid East map Google from BP?

I don't know why these don't work for you. The BP module should not be looking in the directory above. It should be looking in C:\Program Files (x86)\SwordSearcher 5\Images\BigPicture. It is hard coded into the module to use the (x86) location. Check to be sure that it exists and there are images there.

Interestingly if I click 90sec.htm, it shows up in Firefox.

From inside BigPicture maybe through the mindmaps / maps.

No worry Bill. Thanks for your effort to rectify the links. At least I learned something new . . .
