Do I understand this right? 10 bookmarks is Swordsearcher's limit. Somewhere in Help did I see where you could build a entry page and create unlimited books marks?

Now when I say bookmarks, I mean what SwordSearcher already does and does well!
1 -It bookmarks
2 - It bookmarks by "scroll position"

This is great feature. Can or will a "Future" ugrade consider this for "user" book modules?

I am working an a work-a-round now. It is lenghty but hope it will do until this becomes reality within SwordSearcher. Most of the Bible programs out there do not do this, so it is a big ask.
I have what I hope to do in an entry that I am going to place into a book module. I have another forum user on the same trail. We do not even see a Rabbit, it is just an adventure. We hope to have Rabbit stew though if it works.
I am limited here in Google Chrome, it is not allowing me any of the features above, all are greyed out. No links, no smiley's, nothing. In Brave browser it is working. Just odd, If it is my settings, please, someone let kme know.

jlambe: or anyone interested. Placed my latest attempt to jump to scroll, in a user module. If it is confusing, just delete, it is my attempt to get the "scroll position" bookmarks SwordSearcher already has inside my own book modules. For now it is a two step process. Maybe one day it can be utilized in my user modules. It works with the two book modules below. Work in progress! If interested download and help with the testing.

The bookmarks menu is fixed at 10 because they were originally meant to be associated with keyboard shortcuts using the number keys.

There's no automatic "bookmarks in a user module" system but you can certainly create one to be used for storing links.

Ya that was something I was playing with. Are you saying it is possible to create and store "scroll position" bookmarks inside a user book module?

No, I wasn't thinking about scroll positions.

What would be more useful to you -- scroll position links in the user module editor, or a redesign of the bookmarks system so that it is open-ended (no limits) and searchable?

I'm just asking for brainstorming reasons.

Please allow me to answer in my language and hope it gets across.
The scroll positions exist now in the "Bookmarks". This would be very useful. I have a module full of illustrations only. When I need a link to an illustration, i simply link it from whatever sermon or book module I need to jump to. Then most of those have a link to jump back to where I cam from.
Example:
Preaching from a sermon in my sermon module with many sermons.
I am in a sermon titled Salvation, and need to access an illustration, called "eternity", I link to it from my sermon module.
Getting a "simple" link to these places is easy , you already provided this in Sword Searcher's editor.
What I am wanting is to go to an exact place, thus "scroll position" language.
If I have 30 illustrations on salvation, (not 30 entries) and i need to go to the one at the bottom of an entry, i do not want to have to "scroll all the way down to get to it while I am in classroom or pulpit.
It would be nice to jump straight there from my sermon module, then after finish with he illustration, i can have a link to jump back to where I was preaching.
Both really require this "scroll position" you have designed with "bookmarks". I just don't know how to get that to work from book module A to book module B without having to scroll back to my place i left off in the middle of a sermon or classroom.
The short answer would be have a zillion illustration's and go to each one with a simple link.

Just used your wording on Brave AI. Funny what AI can do with "data". It may have answered better than I did.

This is a feature-request vote from the SwordSearcher forums. Based on what the software currently offers and the pain points users report:

The open-ended, searchable bookmark redesign is the higher-value choice for most users. The current 10-bookmark hard cap is a well-known frustration (the help file itself steers users toward building a user Book module as a workaround), and a fixed, non-searchable list becomes useless the moment you exceed a handful of active references. Removing the limit and adding search is a direct, high-impact fix.

Scroll-position links in the user module editor are more niche but complement the existing system well. SwordSearcher already stores scroll position in Book/Commentary bookmarks, and the user editor already supports verse links, entry links, and search links. Adding a "link to scroll position" would let power users build unlimited, organized, searchable reference lists inside their user modules — effectively a DIY bookmark system with context. Forum users (e.g., Pastor Langley) have explicitly asked for this.

Bottom line: The bookmark redesign solves the most common, most visible problem (the 10-cap) for the broadest audience. Scroll-position links are a power feature that overlaps with what a redesigned bookmark system would already provide (unlimited + searchable + scroll position). If only one ships, the bookmark redesign has the wider impact; if both are feasible, the editor links add real value for users who already live in user modules.
