How hard is it to create a user module?

Fairly automatic?

Do I have to use an editing feature of SS?

Where would be the best place to start?

Besides the note on the forum?

Blessings,
Pastor Tim

It's as easy as selecting the "Create New User Commentary" or "Create New User Book" items on the User menu. Then just tell it what you want it called, and that's it.

For books, there is an "add new entry" button in the book viewer, along with an "edit entry" button, which you use to create and edit your entries.

For commentaries, there are "edit" links for your user commentaries next to verses in the Bible view.

Yes, SwordSearcher has its own editor. You can easily paste in items from your word processor too.

The help file and PDF manual both have a section called "Creating Your Own Material" which I would recommend reading, as it takes you through the steps with screenshots.

Currently there are three help topics of interest also available on the website (these are straight from the help file):

Creating and Editing User Book Modules
Creating and Editing User Commentary Modules
Using the Editor

Hope this helps!

I've been reading up on it.

It would be nice if I could harness some of my thoughts into a commentary.

Or perhaps organize some of my sermons in a book vis a vis the basic text the sermon is based on.

Just no time right now.

Pastor Tim
