Oh, I was wondering why isn't spirit of God capitalized sometimes?

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to ask this because maybe it's doctrine related? But why do you think that spirit of God isn't always capitalized? Does anyone have any ideas? Exodus 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

That's a great question!
I'm not an expert, but I believe the difference is when talking about filling a person with a limited or special ability or attribute of God as opposed to the Person, the Spirit. The context of the verses should sort that out.

Maybe it is capitalized when it is the particular Spirit of God (the person, the name, a proper noun) rather that an attribute of God. Try this case sensitive search:

"*pirit of God".

There are 26 occurrences in 26 verses. It is always capitalized in the New Testament. 4 occurrences use a small s in the Old Testament. I'm not sure.
