I would propose an ability similar to that on Blue Letter Bible that does multiple search options automatically and allows you to pick which one to look at.
For instance, when one enters search terms in SS there are 4 search methods that are options. Perhaps SS could do all four of them automatically and then have each one on a different tab. Then each tab could have an ability to remove it if not desired and an "ext or some icon" (extension option) to then further refine using the options in the "Search Options" dialog box. Then also an "R" range option (could be a Bible icon) that also allow the range to be another refinement. I suggest these options as I have sometimes found that an incorrect selection of options led to very interesting and insightful results. So, this feature would enable the user to do quick checks on alternate search combinations to see if the yield something helpful without having to redo the search dialog box again and again for each permutation of options.
