I have been cleaning up some markups as I read through the Bible. It would be very handy to have a shortcut key to remove the markup from a selection without having to use the mouse.
 
I think it is available: Dunno but this is what I found.
Main Window and Panels > The Bible Panel
Show Verses with User Highlighting or Underlining shows you all the verses you have applied markup to, and also provides an easy way to quickly remove highlighting from a group of verses or the entire Bible text.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Open the Bible menu on the top toolbar.
  2. Select Show Verses with User Highlighting or Underlining.
  3. Once the dedicated window opens and finishes loading your marked text, you can select the entire list of verses.
  4. Use the built-in bulk management action within that window to clear the highlighting from the entire Bible text. [1]
Note: If you want to prevent yourself from accidentally adding new highlights while clicking around moving forward, you can return to the Bible menu and click Disable Allow User Highlighting and Underlining. [1]
 
But as you stated shortcut not a Global change, I agree.
