    Cronological Sword searcher?

Thank you, Brandon! And I agree that all chronological plans have subjective elements. As long as things are editable, not a problem. I can replace someone else's subjectivity with my own :D

    Cronological Sword searcher?

@epmolitor, Seems like it should be possible to do something like this with the SwordSearcher Bible Reading Schedule, but I guess it would take a lot of tweaking. I would like to read through the Bible chronologically, but I'm not too keen on using a user book rather than the reading schedule. I...

I use both, but usually start with 1828.

    Book Module help Using Forge

Regarding pages. The computer presentation of text has nearly eliminated the usefulness of page numbers, except as references to show where a certain piece of information is located. When converting paper books to electronic form, it might be wise to insert markers for where the paper page...

English-Strong's Indexer (ESI): Why is "conversion" present when searching for "conversation"?

Now all I need to do is remember this! Thank you, Brandon, I appreciate the reminder. And thank you, everybody else, for pitching in, too!

English-Strong's Indexer (ESI): Why is "conversion" present when searching for "conversation"?

I'm wondering why "conversion" shows up as a hit when searching for "conversation", since they there is no semantic relationship. I guess it's because they start with the same letters. Is that something that is fixable, @Brandon Staggs? Thanks, Eric Screenshot:

User-submitted Landmark works of James Robinson Graves

Thanks for this module, @Shaynos. I noticed a typo (no doubt due to scanning). I'll attach a screenshot ("he" should be "be"). Thank you very much for making it user editable. That way the user can fix typos, highlight, etc. Way to go! Eric

    Sermon Storage

I would definitely recommend that sermon collections be in a book module.

    SS notes on old Vista

Should not be hard at all. The file structure of the old notes is probably the same as what is used now. You'll need to find the directory on the hard drive of the old computer where user notes are stored (Brandon will likely chime in) and copy that to the directory on another computer where...

Feel free, Brother, to send it to me. I don't know when I can look at it, but I hope to. :)

    User-submitted Michael D. Bentley - Commentary on Isaiah 58

You might consider linking references like "(verses 10-13)" so that when one hovers over the reference, the verses appear. It would have to be done manually. This is the format (when using the "Code" editing mode where you edit user books. Syntax: <a href="swordsearcher://bible+kjv/Bk 1.1">Bk...

    Noah Webster's Bible

Seems there are some formatting issues at John 8:9-15 on the Webster's side. I just happened to see these. There may be more. Seems the references are formatted incorrectly and thus the comparison is mis-aligned. Edit: Acts 7:42 also. Maybe one could search for the color that shows up when...

Possible ideas for additions to library

I'm not too sure Walvoord's writings would be public domain any time soon. Excerpt from https://walvoord.com/: Based on the calculations applied below by the Library of Congress, I think The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit would go into the public domain on Jan. 1, 2039. On the other hand, L. S...

There will be no integration with SwordSearcher. However, you can make maps and then save them in .jpg format and use them in user modules.

Bible Mapper Software - David P. Barrett

Here is an alternative that may interest some users. Map Creator by fmosoft.com The user can change the labels and create his/her own map. And one can do it in languages besides English. For me, this is a wonderful tool. The biggest feature: absolute control of the content by the user, not by...

    Best feature?

Hands down – extensibility. I can create foreign-language Bible modules (via Forge) and commentaries as much as I like, and all the search capabilities work exactly the same as they do for the ones that come with the program.

    AI (not the city)

I did not understand this statement. What is a "toaster"? This is the response from the Apple Dictionary: toaster | ˈtōstər | noun 1 an electrical device for making toast. 2 a DJ who accompanies reggae with improvised rhythmic speech. I don't know what "reggae" means, either. I guess this is...

    2024 is SwordSearcher's 30th Anniversary! 😁

I don't recall when I started using SwordSearcher. I don't know where I heard about it. But it seems like a long time ago. And I've been one happy user ever since. Great job, Brandon! To God be the glory!

    Audio Book

I have tried many other recordings of the Bible, and I always come back to Scourby. Others do provide better audio quality and more even reading speed, and Scourby does make mistakes from time to time. But … I've yet to find anyone who can read the Scriptures alone and yet communicate so well –...
