English-Strong's Indexer (ESI): Why is "conversion" present when searching for "conversation"?

I'm wondering why "conversion" shows up as a hit when searching for "conversation", since they there is no semantic relationship. I guess it's because they start with the same letters.
Is that something that is fixable, @Brandon Staggs?

Ye Should check you "settings" within the ESI window.

You have English stemming turned on, which is the default I think. The words "conversion" and "conversation" are both reduced to "convers" by the stemming algorithm which is why they both show up. You can disable the "always find all word forms" option to work around it.

I had to search out the meaning of "glosses". I never clicked on the gear shown above.

When I hear "glosses" I think of car polish. I guess that is a gloss in itself;)
