    Hungarian language

I liked your post, Brandon, because I have hope this happens: "Some day I would like to break out the user interface text constants into a localize-able file …". I think it would be really, really neat to have foreign language interfaces for SS.

    Hungarian Bible Modules

Zsolt László Baranyi, What does "UT" mean in the titles? It'd be best for me it all the titles had dates in them. Could you add detailed information (in Hungarian and English) in the Module Information (at the top of the Forge file; accessed in SwordSearcher by right clicking on the module...

Thank you! What does "UT" mean in the titles? It'd be best for me it all the titles had dates in them. Also, since I don't know Hungarian, if the Catholic ones (if there are any) were marked that would be helpful. I sometimes use Google Translate to compare other language's old Bibles (A. D...

Zsolt László Baranyi, Thank you. I was able to download them. I have not looked at them yet, but hope to soon. Eric

    Hungarian Bible Modules

Zsolt László Baranyi, Greetings! I was unable to download any of them. Some showed 404 errors, others didn't work for whatever reason. Could you please Private Message (PM) and maybe you can set up a link to some zip files for me to download. I'd love to have some of these Bible modules...

    SwordSearcher on Mac OS-X?

Bill, Thanks for that link. WinUpdate Stop v. 1.3 looks good. I've got it installed already. I dislike being forced to update at inconvenient times, so this is a good little utility.

    SwordSearcher on Mac OS-X?

Yes, cybresaint, I use VirtualBox to run SwordSearcher all the time, and it's free. (Well, there is a catch: you have to buy Windows.*) But you have to spend some time learning, and once in a while something goes a bit off the rails for a while. However, I have always been able to get good...

    minor highlighting enhancement

Of all the things I'd like to see in SwordSearcher, this highlighting enhancement probably is the one that I miss the most. I'd love to be able to insert something like this ⊥ ("up tack") or this ⊤ ("down tack") where a given translation is missing something. (I found them in math symbols and...

    Bible Genealogies

Thank you, Bill. That is helpful! It's up and running. I got (most of) the other directory to copy over, but maybe some rogue characters in some names were causing that error message. In any case, I never did get it to work. But this one (BPpl, a.k.a. Bible People) is working great.

    Bible Genealogies

I'm also wondering if this will work very well on Windows 10. Since it now has Edge as its default browser, will that cause problems? The reason I'm asking is that I'm even having some kind of credentials problems copying the BibleGen folder from the Mac side of my machine (where I had archived...

    Bible Genealogies

Hi, Bill, I can't find that module anymore. Is Bgen1.ss5book better than Bgen.ss5book, which is what it seems I have. I'm just now putting the folder in c:\BibleGen now (somehow during some upgrade I must have missed it). Thanks, Eric

website fonts not rendering correctly: Firefox

Hello, all, This is rather off-topic, but it affects www.swordsearcher.com. On my Mac, some fonts are showing up as question marks inside of boxes. Any idea why? Thanks! Eric UPDATE: I found the solution: it's a Mac-only thing, I guess, and the solution is there...

Any thoughts about Understanding the Bible: An Independent Baptist Commentary

I do use this commentary occasionally, and I am sympathetic with is his views and doctrinal positions on many, perhaps most, things. I don't find it as thorough as I would like, but it is sometimes helpful.

Video Creating Your Own Books and Commentaries

Brandon, for me the one can't-do-without and this-is-why-I-use-it feature of SwordSearcher is the ability to create one's own Bible, book, and commentary modules. That is the one feature that I use the most and appreciate the most among the dozens of excellent features. Thank you! No other...

Bill, Did this Apocrypha module ever get posted? I can't find it. Thank you for many interesting and useful modules!

    Mobile SwordSearcher?

I am with you 100% on this. Better to have one platform that works well than 2 or more that are less than great. Yours is very much a niche business, and the market probably just isn't there to branch out with the hopes of pulling in enough new sales to pay someone else to do programming so the...

    SwordSearcher on Mac OS-X?

I use SwordSearcher almost every day on a Mac with www.virtualbox.org's VM. It's free, except that you'd have to buy a Windows license. For me VB is easier to use than Parallels or VMware Fusion.

    Mobile SwordSearcher?

I really appreciate that position, Brandon. I am very opposed to the subscription model, even though sometimes the numbers tell me it would be cheaper that way. (What's that say about my reasons?!) I guess I just don't want to be committed to spending money in the future or have to remember to...

    Enhancement to English-Strong's Indexer

The tool is wonderful as it is, but I think I have an idea or two that would make it even better. (1) How about if it could somehow chart out other ways a given word is translated in the KJV? E.g., you look up "Judas". How about a drop-down expansion triangle under "G2455" with a note "Also...
