Video Creating Your Own Books and Commentaries

Brandon, for me the one can't-do-without and this-is-why-I-use-it feature of SwordSearcher is the ability to create one's own Bible, book, and commentary modules. That is the one feature that I use the most and appreciate the most among the dozens of excellent features. Thank you! No other...

    Question

Bill, Did this Apocrypha module ever get posted? I can't find it. Thank you for many interesting and useful modules!

    Mobile SwordSearcher?

I am with you 100% on this. Better to have one platform that works well than 2 or more that are less than great. Yours is very much a niche business, and the market probably just isn't there to branch out with the hopes of pulling in enough new sales to pay someone else to do programming so the...

    SwordSearcher on Mac OS-X?

I use SwordSearcher almost every day on a Mac with www.virtualbox.org's VM. It's free, except that you'd have to buy a Windows license. For me VB is easier to use than Parallels or VMware Fusion.

    Mobile SwordSearcher?

I really appreciate that position, Brandon. I am very opposed to the subscription model, even though sometimes the numbers tell me it would be cheaper that way. (What's that say about my reasons?!) I guess I just don't want to be committed to spending money in the future or have to remember to...

    Enhancement to English-Strong's Indexer

The tool is wonderful as it is, but I think I have an idea or two that would make it even better. (1) How about if it could somehow chart out other ways a given word is translated in the KJV? E.g., you look up "Judas". How about a drop-down expansion triangle under "G2455" with a note "Also...

Ability to remove verse(s) from Verse List Panel list

    That would be great!

Ability to remove verse(s) from Verse List Panel list

Hi, Brandon. I often copy stuff with references in it into the "Scan Text for Verse References" tool (Alt-F5). I love that tool! One thing that would make it more useful for me would be if I could highlight a verse (or contiguous or non-contiguous verses) and remove them from the list. What...

    minor highlighting enhancement

This is still very high on my wish-list. :)

    Highlighting of footnote text

I still think the ability to highlight footnote text (in Bible modules) would be a good idea, but it may be harder to implement than it appears at first glance.

    Compare verse lists for differences?

    Now that's an option! Thanks!

    Compare verse lists for differences?

I am wondering if there is a way to compare verse lists (results of searches) to see what the differences are (i.e., what references are included in one list but omitted from another). Example: if you search for "peace offering*" in the KJV, there are 84 hits in KJV, YLT, and NASB. Are they all...

    Implemented! module location

Sorry – I found the problem. It was that I was loading the SwordSearcher User Modules locations from the other machine, too. When I uncheck that option when loading settings, all is well. I was the problem! Sorry to have used up time and forum space. I love SwordSearcher!

    Implemented! module location

Brandon, I just installed SS 8 on another computer (on a VirtualBox VM on a Mac). The OS is Windows 10 Home. I copied my settings and user modules from the other machine (same setup - Mac Host with Win10 guest on VB). To do so I first launched SS and made a "Test" user module. I did that...

    "Export Verses to File" improvements

Maybe it could just default to that when it has amnesia (after a restart or whatever), and then be "sticky" after that? I often have KJVSL in the left hand column and KJV in the right column. Thanks!
